This was the kind of wedding that made me adore my job even more than I already do. Brooke & Dakota are the most laid back, low key, low maintenance, and genuinely kind people I’ve ever photographed. They love each other and they love people well…and that was written all over their entire day. What made their May 18th wedding day so perfect was the bride and groom themselves. Their giddy, genuine, deep-rooted love for each other. Their perspective on life that allowed for a completely stress-free day. Their matching “home is wherever I’m with you” tattoos. The way they make each other laugh. The tight-knit relationships with family members. Brooke’s big brother walking her down the aisle. The happy tears. Their servant-hearted attitude (the fact that they served their guests dessert at their own wedding). The way he kissed her and meant it. The way she swooned. And the simple ringing truth that being together really is home.
Simply put by the lyrics from their first dance, “You are the one thing that I know.”
Couldn’t be happier for you two, and couldn’t be happier to have witnessed and documented your love.
